CHIKARI.
Swollen bellies of clay.
This was an adventure into quite an ancient practice. Adornment of storage ceramic vessels with paint and sacred markings. I have always had an appreciation for Korekore earthenware from Zimbabwe and on my first trip to Kenya I spotted this pot in a very non-descript shop and it called to me. It was a literal learning curve, painting on a surface with curvature and I welcomed the adventure with open arms.
